Once you have chosen your wines, we can arrange our bespoke hand-tied designs in small; £15 - £25 or large; £30+ which can be collected in Wellington along with your wines for Christmas. Choose from 'The Wellingtonian,' 'The Duke,' 'The Blackdown' or 'The Monument.'

The double Christmas workshop..!

Wednesday saw the last of our Workshops taking place at the shop - beginning at 3.30 we created table decorations and yummy evergreen wreaths. Everyone did so well! All of our lovely ladies made beautiful designs and we hope you're all pleased too!

Now available to order are our sumptuous Christmas wreaths - starting at £25. The top wreath is 10 inches and jam packed with orange slices, walnuts and star anise - one like this beauty is £50. 

Alternatively, why not have a go at making your own? With our ready mossed wreaths and goodie bags of orange slices, nuts and cinnamon for just £7.50, you could make a masterpiece of your own! (Or just occupy the children for an hour or two... it's sure to keep them busy...)

All of our workshops are great for drinks parties, hen nights, corporate parties and birthdays - we even have a special childrens flower workshop!

One to one tuition is £55 for a half day, from 10am - 1.30. All materials are included and we can cover any of our workshop designs - this is especially good for 'An introduction to floristry..'

The Monument

 

'The Monument' - a glorious design of 12 red Roses and spray roses in deep reds, hot pinks and zingy greens. 

We've mixed up the traditional dozen roses with 'Ranuncula' and 'Red Naomi,' fabulous Blueplurum, spray Roses and Pine and nestled them all in amongst some royal purple tissue. Perfect for Christmas, Anniversaries, loved ones & just because!

This is our large sized Hand-Tied - ranging from £45 - £75, but can also be created in Small, (£10 - £25) or Medium, (£25 - £45.) 

For the full dozen red Roses, a bouquet must be £50 or more. Half a dozen Roses in this design are £30.

These prices exclude Valentines - sorry!

Introducing - The Duke

Part two of our bespoke collection..

The Duke is a mix of dusky pinks and vintage peaches with some lovely seasonal foliages and is sure to make your recipient squeal with delight!

As always, we can't promise the exact sumptuous blooms from the photos, but they will be sumptuous nonetheless. The Duke can be made in any price range, but pictured is £50.

Wellesley Park Christmas Evening

Just to remind you all that we will be at the Wellesley Park Christmas Evening tomorrow night!

Here's what the Welly Weekly has to say:

"WELLESLEY Park School, Wellington is holding a Christmas shopping evening on Friday, November 12 between 7pm-9pm.

Staged by the school's Parent Teacher Association, there will be a host of Christmas gifts and ideas alongside traditional refreshments including mince pies, tea and coffee.

There will be something for everyone from chocolates to cosmetics and gifts for the home.

Why not go along with friends and enjoy a variety of stalls offering gifts for everyone.

There's free entry too."

We will be there with previews of our Christmas floral designs and well as beautiful Seasonal decorations for your home. Drop by and say hello, dip into our wreath pick 'n' mix and pick up a new Workshop leaflet!

Last Nights Workshop Photos..

Last night, we had another 7 lovely ladies to the shop for our Christmas table arrangement workshop. Their task was to create the above, a circular design of Roses or Germini, Spray Carnations, Hypericum and beautiful foliages. There were also big bowls of oranges, walnuts, cinnamon and vases of ting ting and branches to enhance the decoration!

The stand, full of Sorbet Roses, Blowsy Blooms and Amaryllis, is waiting for everyone to arrive!

The sumptious Grand Prix Roses we used for our focal flowers.

Everyone did a beautiful job! Even with the same materials, they all turned out differently - brilliant first attempts! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves - if you need any help with more table arrangements, just let us know!

Soaps & Scents!

Sarah has very kindly brought us some chunky new soaps & bath bombs, which are all making the shop smell wonderfully wintery! Among the soaps are 'Amish Harvest', 'Lemongrass and Vanilla, 'Eucalyptus' and 'Carribean Crush'.. yum! They're just £2.95 & perfect for guest soaps this Christmas.

WORKSHOP NEWS!

We have decided on our next Season of Workshops as there are now only two places left for the Winter Arrangement Workshop before Christmas - the others are full, sorry! If you still wish to do a Christmas wreath workshop, please do call us on (01823) 662143 as there may be another in the works!

Spring  workshops will be based around the beautiful seasonal blooms such as Tulips, Anemones, Ranunculus and Narcissi along with the ever stunning roses that we love so much! As always, there will be a natural feel to the designs and all workshops are suitable for any ability.

A brilliant introduction to Floristry for beginners and for those who don't know what to do when they receive flowers! 

Learn to create a gift wrapped bouquet and then how to arrange it beautifully in a vase. We will cover cutting and conditioning, the merits of flower food and how to keep them flourishing for as long as possible, as well as flower types and colour schemes.

A modern vase arrangement.

A vase of flowers cannot help but make you smile! In this class we will be looking at how to gather flowers together in your hand for the perfect spiralled stem and how to use texture and height to create a fantastic all around design. 

This is also a great course for those who aren't sure what to do with a hand-tied bouquet when they receive it!

We will be using a fishbowl vase - but please do bring along your favourite glass vase and we will help you to create a design which enhances your vase perfectly.

This evening course is £40 and runs from 6:30pm - 9:00pm and includes all materials, (except vase,) plus drinks and nibbles.

Just bring along a pen & paper for note-taking, an apron, a camera and your favourite vase.

Break the mould! A guide to Buttonholes & Corsages.

Buttonholes don't have to be boring & consist of a Carnation and Leatherleaf.. they're a great way to express your personality at any event! Not only for Weddings, corsages look amazing at parties and dinners - and can be worn on your wrist, bag, shoes or in your hair.. anything is possible!

Anything can be included too - not just flowers and beads! The above designs are of Anemones, Conkers and Quail eggs for a country walk design and red spray Roses, Blackberries and Acorns for a cornucopia of Autumn... Vintage lace and buttons, as well as berries and bark also look fabulous.

If you don't want to be too bold, a boutonniere is the perfect design. Smaller than a buttonhole and consisting of just one or two blooms, they're lovely on a jacket for lunch out or a more casual occasion.

..and of course, the classic rose buttonhole is timeless. Teamed with another seasonal or favourite bloom, (here we have used Hydrangea,) they ooze sophistication.

Or why not go for something completely different - floral jewellery. We can create any shape or colour necklace to compliment your outfit perfectly.. you'll certainly stand out from the crowd! xx
